Bob is admitted after experiencing sudden chest pains and a collapse. As the team investigates, he begins to suffer from a range of seemingly unrelated symptoms, including skin rashes and respiratory failure.
The team eventually discovers that Bob has Kawasaki disease , a condition usually found in children that causes inflammation in the walls of some blood vessels in the body. In Bob's case, it had been dormant or misdiagnosed for years. The physical stress of his guilt and the subsequent psychosomatic symptoms complicated the clinical picture.
