: As scientists study the Marker, they suffer from severe headaches, violent hallucinations, and descent into madness. Altman appears uniquely resistant to these effects, which leads others to view him as a "chosen" figure or prophet.
: Altman manages to sink the facility and the Marker to the bottom of the ocean. However, he is betrayed by his captors and executed by a Necromorph.
