The Mushroom Kingdom was a world of vibrant greens and pixelated blues, a peaceful land ruled by Princess Toadstool. That peace shattered when the sky darkened with the shadow of the Koopa Troopas. Using powerful dark magic, Bowser, the King of the Koopas, transformed the mushroom people into stones, bricks, and field horsehair plants, plunging the realm into a static nightmare. He then kidnapped the Princess, the only one with the power to undo his spell.
As he ventured deeper, the landscapes grew more treacherous. He navigated the slippery, ink-black depths of underwater caverns where Bloopers darted through the currents. He sprinted across the dizzying heights of athletic bridge levels, narrowly avoiding the snapping jaws of Cheep-Cheeps leaping from the abyss.
