The 2022 exhibition at the Palais Galliera celebrated 300 years of fashion history through a comprehensive display of over 350 items from the City of Paris Fashion Museum's permanent collection. The exhibition featured a 360-degree approach, using thematic displays and newly renovated gallery spaces to showcase the evolution from 18th-century courtly gowns to 20th-century avant-garde design and modern, sustainable fashion. The exhibition, which highlighted the Palais Galliera's new vaulted cellar galleries, featured a mix of garments, accessories, and historical documents illustrating the social context of each era.
